Play Your Gender wins Edith Lando Peace Prize

Congratulations to the Talent Fund supported Micro-budget Production program Play Your Gender on winning the Edith Lando Peace Prize at the 2017 Reel to Real International Film Festival for Youth in Vancouver!

The Edith Lando Peace Prize is awarded to the film that best utilizes the power of cinema to further the goal of social justice and peace and is the only cash prize awarded at the festival. We talked with director Stephanie Clattenburg in Halifax just as she was about to begin filming her now award-winning documentary about what is means to get the opportunity to make her first feature length film.

Play Your Gender has already screened at several festivals in Canada and at the For Film’s Sake Film Festival  in Sydney, Australia on April 27.
